
Invitation: Law Society roundtable on Mental Health and Wellbeing

We are delighted to invite you to an upcoming panel discussion and roundtable in Hatfield, focused on mental health and wellbeing in the profession. This roundtable discussion is open to all members of the Law Society, Hertfordshire Law Society and Hertfordshire Junior Lawyers Division.
This free event will take place from 15:30 – 17:00, in-person, kindly hosted by The University of Hertfordshire (Room V225, Enterprise Hub, De Havilland Campus, AL10 9EU).
Speakers include:
- Mark Evans, President, the Law Society of England and Wales
- Rose Donnelly, Engagement and Development Manager, LawCare
- Michael Scutt, President – Hertfordshire Law Society and Partner and Head of Employment and Dispute Resolution, Crane & Staples
- Emma Curtis-Vegh, Chair – Hertfordshire Junior Lawyers Division and Solicitor, Debenhams Ottaway
- Christina Lambi, Wellbeing Manager, the Law Society of England and Wales
Discussions will focus on findings from LawCare’s Life in the Law Report 2025 and workplace mental health and wellbeing, including challenges and the role of senior leadership; managing client demands and expectations; maintaining a healthy work-life balance and recognising burnout; and initiatives to improve workplace culture and support systems.
Following the panel discussion, there will be ample time for attendees to share their own experiences and ask questions of our panel.
