PRIVATE CHILDREN LAW DUTY SCHEME PROPOSAL

Various Courts around the country have pro bono Family Law duty schemes. The Hertfordshire Local Family Justice Board has been exploring through a subcommittee a way in which the same could be brought to Hertfordshire. Delays within the Family Justice system are impacting on all professionals and families within it and it is hoped that introducing a scheme to support litigants in person will reduce delay, conclude cases more effectively and free up Court time for those cases that cannot resolve at an early stage.
Following the initial proposal and sign up we intend to hold a Q&A session for those seeking further information about joining the duty scheme. The scheme is intended to allow lawyers to work remotely and is being organised in conjunction with the University of Hertfordshire Law Clinic.
